Band Schedule

From the very beginning, students are introduced to the ensemble environment, performing with their peers in a band setting. Classmates become band mates, and together they receive firsthand experience of the dynamics involved in bringing different sounds together.


Enrolled students have access to participate for Berklee scholarships, tons of performance opportunities, Workshop & Open Mic Fridays, one-on-one mentorship and studio time.

soul / r&B

Learn about the history and evolution of groove, explore 16th note syncopation, modal playing and 4/ 5 part harmonies.

Learn & perform songs in the style of Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, Otis Redding, Prince, Vulfpeck, and others.


motown / 50’s soul

Walk through the evolution of contemporary popular music and dive deep into the grooves, melodies, and harmonies that captivated audiences since the beginning of broadcasted music.

Learn & perform songs in the style of The Monkeys, The Beach Boys, The Marvelettes, The Kinks, The Foundations, The Beatles, and many more.


Pop I & II

Explore form and songwriting while learning about diatonic harmony, intervals, and melodic rhythms through the study of top 40 hits.

Learn & perform songs in the style of Lady Gaga, Billie Eilish, Ed Sheeran, Khalid, Alessia Cara, Bruno Mars, and the likes.



Rock I. Develop your musicianship, technique, and stage presence through the study and performance of the all-time rock classics.

Rock II. Intermediate level of the Rock Classics, fine-tune your technique, improvisation skills and explore odd time signatures.

Learn & perform songs in the style of Jimmy Hendrix, The Who, Metallica, QUEEN, AC/DC, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, etc.

Rock Fusion III. Expand on your improvisational and music theory skills. Master diatonic modes in the Major and Melodic Minor Scales. Experiment with polyrhythms and complex time signatures.

Learn & perform songs in the style of Scott Henderson, Jeff Beck, Steve Vai, Wayne Krantz, John Scofield, Mike Stern, and many more.



Explore the modern American and British pop world and experiment with new textures, sounds, chord progressions, as well as incorporating technology into performance.

Learn & perform songs in the style of Lianne La Havas, John Mayer, Corrine Bailey Rae, Laura Mvula, Esperanza Spalding, Jose James, Emily King, Fiona Apple, Lake Street Dive, Allen Stone, among others.

Rock ‘n Roll

Learn about the heritage of the genre. Explore the blues/pentatonic scales and understand their historical context and influence in today's music.

Learn & perform songs in the style of Elvis Presley, Ray Charles, Buddy Holly, Little Richard, Dominoes, etc.

Jazz, the so-called classical American music, had its beginnings in the early 1900s and evolved throughout the 20th century. This ensemble will focus on its early era.

Learn & perform songs in the style of Ragtime, Jelly Roll Morton, Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Benny Goodman, Louis Armstrong, Artie Shaw, Bessie Smith, Lil Hardin Armstrong, and more.


Alternative Rock

Explore form, harmony, pentatonic/blues scales, improvisation, effects, and performance through the wave of rock that originated in the '90s, and has evolved to become one of the most popular styles of music to date.

Learn & perform songs in the style of Radiohead, The Black Keys, The Strokes, Arctic Monkeys, Green Day, Nirvana, Cage the Elephant, Panic! at the Disco, and many others.


composition & songwriting

Learn music theory through composition and explore storytelling and songwriting. Write music using different prompts and notation software such as Sibelius and Noteflight. Explore your inner writer through a series creative writing workshops. Learn to create strong melodies and hooks, and chart parts for other instruments.
