An amazing group of kind, knowledgeable, and passionate people guiding an incredibly talented pool of student musicians. We had the pleasure of collaborating with them on an event and can not wait to share another experience with them again!
— Tom Pupo @ Moonlighter
The instructors are kind, patient and excellent at what they do! My child is very comfortable at the school, he is able to learn, be creative & be outside of his comfort zone without fear at Live!! He feels free to be himself.

Helping students of all ages and abilities develop their inner artist is what we live for, and we're making it happen in a nurturing and supportive environment that is home to the fastest growing community of musicians in Miami. Our faculty consists of top-ranked professional musicians who provide academic perspective while developing coherent bonds with their students.

Juan Pablo Díaz

Juan is a jazz guitarist and the musical director at Live! Modern School of Music. Born and raised in Bogotá, Colombia, he grew up playing traditional Colombian music, and went on to study Jazz Guitar at Broward College. Early in his career, Juan became involved in music education, determined to make music accessible to everyone. He decided to team up with his brother Daniel and wife Luciana, and together they founded Live! Modern School of Music in the fall of 2007. He is passionate about collaborating with fellow educational and arts organizations, and believes in using music as a tool to help bring communities together. An advocate for education, Juan is a graduate of the Creative Entrepreneurship program at Berlin University of the Arts and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Orchestration and Arranging from Berklee College of Music. Most recently, Juan learned the craft of guitar making at an intimate workshop in Berlin with Argentinian luthier Leo Lospenatto.

Daniel Díaz

Daniel is Live! Modern School of Music’s manager and in-house videographer. As co-founder of Live!, his entrepreneurial vision was key in bringing the school to life. Over the years, Daniel has developed Live!’s infrastructure and operational standards, making sure things run smoothly behind the scenes. With a background in film production, Daniel also contributes creative content to LMSOM, and can usually be found shooting performances and interviews with students and instructors. He is currently developing a video series of studio sessions at Live!, as well as working on music videos for several South Florida musicians.

Luli Cereseto

Originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina, Luciana (known as Luli to the Live! family) has always had a soft spot for the arts. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design from the Art Institute of Ft. Lauderdale, and as one of our co-founders, manages Live! Modern School of Music’s branding and photography. Hungry for a creative challenge, Luli was craving a passion project to dive into when she was approached by Juan and Daniel to help create Live!’s look and feel. Since then, she’s designed and styled everything from the website to the programs for our shows. Luli also works as a freelance designer, with a focus on branding projects for musicians.

Carlos Ayala

Carlos is Live! Modern School of Music’s Enrollment Director and the face of our front desk. A native Miamian, he is trained in guitar and tenor sax with a degree in Music Business. He helps build and maintain the relationships between Live! and our students, guiding them through orientation and placement, as well as keeping everyone up to date on happenings and important dates throughout the curriculum. He attributes his friendly persona and passion for people to his years in the hospitality industry, and cites the interactions with students and their families as one of the most rewarding things about being a part of the Live! family. An enthusiast of all things retro, Carlos is a fan of old-school video games, 80’s and 90’s nostalgia, and 2nd wave ska.
